Meulaboh, Aceh, (Antara Sumbar) - Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti will address the National Maritime and Fisheries Symposium and Expo on Oct 16-17 at the campus of the University of Teuku Umar (UTU) in Meulaboh, West Aceh, Aceh.
"She is expected to arrive here on Monday, and her first agenda is to deliver a general lecture. Nearly all young researchers in the field of maritime and fisheries from various universities are already present at the UTU," Dr Edwarsyah, dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences of UTU, noted here, Sunday.
After delivering a general lecture, Pudjiastuti will speak at the symposium.
The minister is also expected to sign cooperation agreements on research and human resource development with five universities: the UTU, University of Syiah Kuala, University of Malikussaleh, University of Samudera, and University of Abulyatama.
"The cooperation agreements to be signed by the minister and rectors of the five universities focus on the maritime and fisheries sector," he noted.
Minister Pudjiastuti will also sign an inscription on the establishment of the Learning Center for Ecosystem Approach of Fisheries Management. (*)
