Bukittinggi, W Sumatra, Dec 14 (Antara) - Bukittinggi Election Supervisory Committee will again coordinate the installation of the election campaign attributes for candidates vying for 25 seats in the local parliament in the 2014 election to the Regional Election Commission.
"We will discuss this matter with the Commission because there are many candidates still install more than one campaign attribute in each village, as specified in the regulations," Supervisory Committee Chairman Ruzi Hariyadi said here Saturday.
In addition, there are also discrepancies on the type and size of campaign attributes, as specified in Commission regulation No. 15 of 2013 that banner must come in a size of 1.5 x 7 meters.
"We will decide the action toward the discrepancies on the type and size of attributes after consulting with the Commission to achieve the best policy," he said.
Commission Regulation No. 15 of 2013 states the election participants are allowed to install outdoor campaign props with provisions: first, one political party only allowed to put one billboard in a village.
Then, the billboard contains information such the name of candidate, electoral number and symbol of Political Parties and vision, mission, programs, jargon, party’s members’ photograph who are not the candidate. (*/ham/jno)
